Our 27th Class: Meet Harlem Capital’s Fall 2026 Interns
by Harlem Capital
Harlem Capital Community,
Today, we’re excited to welcome our Fall 2026 Intern Class.

What started in 2018 as a small, early experiment has grown into one of the most meaningful and enduring parts of Harlem Capital. Twenty-six cohorts later, the intern program is not only a pipeline into venture capital, but a training ground for future investors, operators, and founders across the ecosystem.
Please join us in welcoming our Fall 2026 interns: Ankita Punjani, Jordan Garrick, Citiana Belayneh, and Edon Zike. They are joined by one returning fellow, Patrick Mispireta (Summer 2026).
ABOUT THE INTERN PROGRAM
Harlem Capital’s internship is a 10-week immersive program that runs three times per year – Winter, Summer, and Fall. Each cohort includes five to six interns, with select returning interns serving as Fellows and peer leaders.
Since launching the program, 150+ interns have gone through Harlem Capital, 40+ of whom have gone on to roles at top venture funds, high-growth startups, and within Harlem Capital itself.
The program is designed to mirror how work happens at the firm: fast-paced, collaborative, and rooted in real ownership. Since launching Intern Program 2.0 last year, our three tracks have driven real, measurable impact across the firm:
Hunters (Sourcing & Deal Flow)
- 42 founders sourced across 3 classes
- Expanding HCP’s pipeline by surfacing under-the-radar founders through their networks
Builders (Portfolio Support & Ecosystem)
- Supported portfolio companies in preparing for Series A fundraises
- Built and automated internal HCP workflows, increasing team efficiency
Architects (Incubation & Research)
- Conducted market deep dives across key industry verticals (24/7 Employee, Leapfrogging Legacy Industries, Trust as a Platform)
- Findings directly inform HCP’s evolving view on new market theses
MEET THE FALL 2026 CLASS
This seven-person cohort is made up of both MBA and Undergraduate students:
- 80% women
- 80% Black and Latino
- 3 MBA students (University of Chicago, Berkeley-Haas, Columbia Business School)
- 2 Undergraduate students (University of Pennsylvania)
Beyond their track work, every intern is embedded in active deal flow throughout the program. Working closely with the HCP team, interns join founder calls, support due diligence, and help manage the deal process from first meeting to investment decision.
CONCLUSION
We have now had 158 interns over 27 classes with 25,400 applicants. Be sure to apply to be a part of our next cohort!
Our Winter 2027 application is now open until September 30th, APPLY or SHARE.
Regards,
The Harlem Capital Team
