Our 25th Class: Meet Harlem Capital’s Winter 2026 Interns

by

Harlem Capital Community,

Today, we’re excited to welcome our Winter 2026 Intern Class and to mark an important milestone for our firm: our 25th intern cohort.

What started in 2018 as a small, early experiment has grown into one of the most meaningful and enduring parts of Harlem Capital. Twenty-five cohorts later, the intern program is not only a pipeline into venture capital, but a training ground for future investors, operators, and founders across the ecosystem.

Please join us in welcoming our Winter 2026 interns: Liam Malik Calle, Haley Coller, Akshay Chandran, Sasha Greer, John Harbour III, and Tyler Lawrence. They are joined by one returning fellow, Akhila Thota (Fall 2025).

ABOUT THE INTERN PROGRAM

Harlem Capital’s internship is a 10-week immersive program that runs three times per year – Winter, Summer, and Fall. Each cohort includes five to six interns, with select returning interns serving as Fellows and peer leaders.

Since launching the program, 145+ interns have gone through Harlem Capital, many of whom have gone on to roles at top venture funds, high-growth startups, and within Harlem Capital itself.

The program is designed to mirror how work happens at the firm: fast-paced, collaborative, and rooted in real ownership. Intern Program 2.0 brings this to life through three tracks:

  • Hunters: Sourcing and early founder discovery
  • Builders: Portfolio support across growth, hiring, and fundraising
  • Architects: Market research, incubation, and white-space exploration

BUILDING WINNERS – PROGRAM OUTCOMES

Over 25 cohorts, the Harlem Capital intern program has produced measurable, compounding outcomes across investing, company creation, and our own fund ecosystem.

Career Outcomes

  • 38% of interns (56 individuals) have gone on to work in venture capital or private equity, joining firms such as Insight Partners, Lerer Hippeau, Bain Capital Ventures, Sierra Ventures, SemperVirens, and others.

Founder Outcomes

  • 8% of interns (12 individuals) have gone on to become founders.

Direct Investment Impact

  • 1 Harlem Capital investment into an intern alum
  • 2 Harlem Capital investments were directly sourced by interns.
  • 3+ Harlem Capital investments have included intern alumni as co-investors.

Ecosystem Continuity

  • 1 intern alum is now a Limited Partner in Harlem Capital, reinforcing the long-term, full-cycle nature of the program.

These outcomes reflect our belief that early exposure, real ownership, and trust compound over time, not just for individuals, but for the firm and the broader venture ecosystem.

MEET THE FALL 2025 CLASS
This seven-person cohort is made up of both students and full-time employees:

  • 4 students (University of California – Berkeley, Haas School of Business, The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, Columbia Business School)
  • 3 full-time employees (Headway, Fast Forward, Genesys Works)

Interns will be embedded within their tracks, guided by HCP team member track leads and peer intern leads (returning Fellows from past cohorts).

LOOKING AHEAD
Reaching a 25th intern class is a meaningful milestone, but more importantly, it’s a reflection of Harlem Capital’s long-term commitment to building durable talent and opening pathways into venture capital and entrepreneurship.

We’re excited to welcome this cohort and to continue evolving the program alongside the firm.

More to come from the Winter 2026 interns in the weeks ahead.

CONCLUSION

We have now had 146 interns over 25 classes with 22,870 applicants. Be sure to apply to be a part of our next cohort!

Our Summer 2026 application is now open until February 4th, APPLY or SHARE.

Regards,

The Harlem Capital Team
