Harlem Capital Family,

We are pleased to announce Harlem Capital’s 2020 Winter Intern Class, our seventh.

This intern class has 3 MBA students, 1 JD student, 1 undergraduate student, and 1 full-time employee. The students come from Columbia, Michigan, Harvard and Wharton, while the employee comes Microsoft. The interns’ experiences include finance, consulting, tech and law.

The applicants were chosen from a pool of 565 applications, 32% of which were women and 60% Black and Latinx. There continues to be a diverse pipeline of talent as this was our largest application pool to date. Please join us in welcoming them.

We will also have 2 fellows joining this cohort, both were 2019 fall interns. We are fortunate and excited to have them both continue on with the team.

We have now had 40 interns across 1,965 applicants, a 2.0% acceptance rate. We unfortunately aren’t able to work with most that apply, but hope other venture firms will take notice of the diverse talent gap. It is amazing to read emails from applicants who didn’t get the internship, but ended up in venture.

Our Summer 2020 applications will be open March 4th.
