Harlem Capital Invests In Beauty Bakerie — The Millennial-Forward Cosmetics Company

by

Harlem Capital is pleased to announce it’s investment in Beauty Bakerie — the millennial-forward and socially conscious cosmetics brand led by Cashmere Nicole.

“We’re proud to have invested in such a dynamic and talented team that has a fresh perspective on the beauty industry” says Jarrid Tingle, Managing Partner at Harlem Capital. “The Beauty Bakerie team has demonstrated an exceptional ability to resonate deeply with millennial shoppers by offering excellent, natural products delivered through powerful, social media marketing.” Tingle continues.

Harlem Capital participated in Beauty Bakerie’s recently announced $3MM Seed Round to further their vision of cruelty-free products for millennial audiences. Notable investors included:

Unilever Ventures, Kenneth Chenault (CEO of American Express) and Charles Phillips (Former Co-President of Oracle Corporation & Current CEO of Infor).

With this round of strategic financing in place, Beauty Bakerie is well-poised to continue their journey of reaching the next generation of Personal Care product consumers.

“There are various competing brands, such as Fenty by Rihanna, but this is a fragmented market untapped by VC firms that does not require a winner-take-all approach, as has been shown by large beauty brands continuing to invest” says Henri-Pierre Jacques, also a Managing Partner at Harlem Capital. “We’re thrilled to have been a part of supporting this great company — and, in accordance with our mission — are pleased to welcome another black woman CEO and diverse C-Suite to the Harlem Capital family”
