Harlem Capital is excited to welcome Gabby Cazeau to its investment team. As a Senior Associate, Gabby will be spending her time sourcing and evaluating new investments, working with portfolio companies, and getting involved in the NYC venture ecosystem.

The HCP team first met Gabby when she started working at the firm in Spring 2018 as an Intern in our first cohort for 10 weeks. After completing the internship, she returned as a Venture Fellow in Winter 2018 for 5 months. Gabby explains, “I was drawn to Harlem Capital for the mission of changing the face of entrepreneurship. As an engineer, I love to build and want to use my skills to support diverse founders as they build and scale their companies. Everyone at Harlem Capital, from the Interns, Fellows, and Partners, is incredibly passionate, talented, and driven and I’ve learned a great deal from them over the last year. I’m thrilled to join as a Senior Associate to continue investing in underrepresented and women founders.”

During her time at HCP Gabby has closed two investments with HCP. “We have had the chance to get to know Gabby over the past 1.5 years and it has been incredible to see her growth from an Intern to a Fellow to a Senior Associate. It makes me happy to hire someone from our first intern class and particularly Gabby, because she truly embodies HCP in every way,” said Henri Pierre-Jacques, Managing Partner.

“I knew Gabby was special since her first phone interview with Harlem Capital, and I have been continuously impressed by her curiosity, enthusiasm, and work ethic. A member of our first intern class, Gabby has set the standard very high and demonstrated the type of talent VC firms miss out on when the door isn’t open to women and minorities. With her engineering background and differentiated work experience, Gabby brings a unique perspective to Harlem Capital and will help us take the firm to the next level,” said Jarrid Tingle, Managing Partner.
